A gentle reminder ...

The goal of this blog initially was for Mr. Mc to show his students and friends what he doing while in Pennsylvania and DC in 2011. Now it's being used as a place for him, travelling colleagues and former students to discuss edumacation and history related "stuff" as well as ... well, anything which pops into his head. Mr. Mc would never knowingly embarrass either the school he loves or the family he is devoted to. By joining in the discussion, he expects the same of you.

Finding God under a bridge

Midnight again. It's starting to become a habit.

Still playing with the free verse from yesterday. Some positive reviews, thank you for the encouraging words.

Today was drive day two. Breakfast in Memphis. Lunch in Birmingham. Dinner in ATL. Some pictures you say? OK.

It is lights out here at Team Effort. We've finished the first chapel service. High energy-check. Guitar and percussion-check. Skits, songs and scripture-check. After 15 years out of the mission trip saddle, I was a little surprised at how it felt to be back in said saddle.

The last part of the evening, we chatted about the ministry we'll be doing. We are partnering with Team Effort and a group called Seven Bridges, who are committed to ending homeless in Atlanta. We will work in their shelter and bring meals to people who are living under the bridges in Atlanta as well as an area called The Bluffs. This is unlike anything we've done.

I'm curious to see how God will make himself known.

I'll let you know.
